BEING A CITY GIRL IS TIRING. And time goes so fast. But it is so much fun!

I can't believe I have done 5 weeks of my internship and after this week I will be half way through living in London.. Crazy.

After last week's fashion week madness, I was loving life when I got a long lie before my wee shift at Topshop, and to make it better I even went to Five Guys with Chloe and had an amazing (but not as good as Shake Shack) burger before! My 2 days at Felicities went ridiculously quick and I spent most of the days doing follow up jobs from our events, aka trying to read the guestbook and decrypt peoples insane handwriting. Safe to say there were more than a few random guesses in there...Someone could actually be called Moonie though, right?

I was sooooo excited when I finished work on Friday, because I hadn't had a day off in 2 weeks AND one of my besties Julia was coming to stay for the weekend. Naturally, I had to take her to Shake Shack because they are amazing and I am obsessed. We stuffed our faces with burgers, cheesy fries and vanilla milkshakes, then were such stereotypical tourists and headed to Trafalger square where we climbed on the monument (with huge difficulty getting up/down) and tried then failed to sit on the lions. I had somehow made it 5 weeks in London without visiting the Queen, so of course we took some selfies and jumping shots in front of the palace and it was literally the funniest night! We said hey to Big Ben and the London Eye en route home before we had a bubblegum flavoured frozen daiquiri in TGIs....SO GOOD.

It was so sunny on Saturday and London looked SO PRETTY when we visited Tower Bridge and then walked all the way down to the London Dungeons, filled with Krispy Kremes! Neither of us haas been to the dungeons in London before so after a wait in the long que, we were surrounded by creepy people and funny smells and oh my god it was hilarious...defos visit if your in London! We had a cheeky look in Oxford Circus Topshop (my favourite place) then met my flatmates to get ready for a night out in Shoreditch.

Sorry for the same photo twice but just look at that sky.

I had read about The Breakfast Club on loads of blogs, so on Sunday morning when everyone was feeling a little less normal, we headed there for a feast. I demolished a peanut butter and banana milkshake, pancakes, bacon, sausages and maple syrup and it was literally amazing. I am DEFOS going back there asap. No one can visit London and not go to Selfridges, so we headed there and I picked up a few MAC goodies ooooops, then went to Victoria's Secret and fell in love with a bikini that I basically NEED (cause its definitely bikini weather) I WISH! Basically Sunday was filled with food and shopping...the best things.

Ps. This photos sums up my weekend.

I have just had the busiest week of my life. My first ever London Fashion Week. I LOVED IT.

Last Monday was T-minus 5 days till LFW kicked off and the Felicities showroom was a crazy place, with constant phone calls, guest lists being finalised, invites all over the place and many trips to the post office. After work on Monday, I hopped on a tube to the O2 to meet my sister for dinner before she saw Taylor Swift. I totally tried my hardest to get another ticket so I could see the show again because she was so amazing! Seeing Abbie was fab but it just a bit rubbish it wasn't for longer! Tuesday at placement was just as busy with lots of designers finalising everything for their shows, and mapping out our way between Somerset House and all the different fashion show venues! Michelle, Kirsty and I ventured to a massive Tesco in Hackney to fill the flat with food and we were basically in the ghetto/the hood/somewhere you don't really want to be. Even the cash machine told us to 'take your cash swiftly.' Never felt like I was gonna get mugged before, let alone in a supermarket! It was funny though, and it doesn't make me love London any less!

I had a lazy morning on Wednesday because I don't have placement and found out that I got an A for my Finance moodle at uni. Never been so happy/shocked about a grad ever! Ailish who hasn't done maths since third year of high school and who cried about failing the module the whole time I was doing the work, got an A! So obviously this deserved a look around the shops before I went to work at Topshop!

Thursday was even crazier at placement with lots of running around London getting last minute bits together for the shows and delivering the final invites.I totally understand why the TV show about interns was called 'running in heels.' I was the happiest girl in London on Thursday night when my Mum and Dad arrived for the weekend, and after a long day a huge delicious dinner was amazing.

Friday was LFW day one and it was all so exciting seeing everything come together! Every day of fashion week Felicities held a media lounge for all the press/buyers/cool people attending fashion week to come and chill, in the amazing ME London hotel. We had been open for maybe 10 minutes when in walked one of my favourite bloggers, Kavita from She Wears fashion! After I got over the initial excitement of actually seeing someone I religiously stalk on blogger and instagram, we ended up chatting for about half an hour and she couldn't have been nicer! Then I had a wee trip across the road to Somerset House (where the LFW designer showrooms and British Fashion Council Showspace are) to collect our passes!!!! A LEGIT FASHION WEEK PASS WITH MY NAME ON. CAN YOU TELL HOW EXCITING THIS WAS.

My day was already made but when I finished I met my Mum and Dad for an AMAZING steak for dinner, sticky toffee pudding for desert, followed up with a bubble bath in the hotel I stayed in for the weekend. Basically I am a Princess Intern and I love it.

Saturday started with my LFW pass around my neck, my eyes peeled for some famous faces and a look around Somerset House. The atmosphere was the best thing ever, and it wasn't long before I came across Spencer and Jamie from Made In Chelsea...who by the way are the shortest guys I have ever seen. Maybe a slight exaggeration but the camera definitely adds a foot to their height. The courtyard was fillllllled with the coolest people, and the designer showrooms were full of amazing new designers and their equally amazing collections, including one of Felicities designers Imogen Belfield.

A quick run up to the Bloomsbury Hotel for 2pm and it was time for the final preparations/walk throughs for the Ethologie by Jasper Garvida, another Felicities designer and his show was incredible! His collection was amazing and I can't wait to get a better look when it arrives in the showroom! I met Suz and Dave for dinner again then had another night in luxury before saying goodbye to them in the morning, sad times.

Sunday was super busy in the media lounge at the ME hotel, with lots of bloggers and magazine editors to chat with! It was so much fun finally getting to meet people I had talked on the phone with at placement. The end of day 3 and my feet were feeling the pain from standing all day...so worth it though!

The rain finally stopped on Monday and I got some amazing photos of the incredible view from the lounge! I don't think I will ever get bored of London! Allumer, another of Felicities amazing jewellery designers gave me the cutest necklace from her collection. It's a delicate pink chain with a little green bell on the end - so me and I love it.

Tuesday was the last day of London Fashion Week and it was one of my favourites! Everyone was in a really good mood and we had a more chilled fun day - it included Nicole Scherzinger standing next to me and Kerry in the hotel reception...FABULOUS. Her hair looked even more amazing in person! The day ended with one last final visit to Somerset House and some selfies on the roof of the ME hotel.

My first fashion week was SO MUCH FUN and I experienced lots of amazing things! And I now totally understand why everyone is so skinny... You literally have no time for food. But I loved it and it was the best week and to make things even better I have not only gone and passed my 3rd year semester but done it with a few A's and a B. Theres no stopping meeeeeeeee!

How have I just finished my third week of placement?! Literally feels like yesterday that I was dragging a suitcase as big as me and a rucksack through Kings Cross.. Crazy.

This week was my busiest one at placement yet, made worse by the fact I was struck down with the plague aka the cold. Swear its from all the accidental hand-holding/face touching on the tubes. Or just the tubes in general. So many (gross dirty smelly sneezy coughy) people. I need to start using hand sanitiser all the time. It is the lead up to fashion week which is the busiest time for Felicities so its been a week of RSVPing, calling buyers/stylists/publications/agents to fill the rows for our designers shows next week. It can be quite stressful and you have to be really really REALLY persistent in order to get an answer from some people, but everyone just keeps reminding us how good the results will be..fashion shows! I had a moment where I felt like Lauren Conrad from the Hills where I thought I was gonna die from the amount of envelopes I had to lick. Luckily I'm still alive and after a full on sprint to the post box on Friday evening, our first batch of invites are all posted. Successful week.

I ventured to the laundry room of my accommodation for the first time on Monday and it was a stressful experience. From being so paranoid about dyeing my whole wardrobe pink from an accidental red item in the wash, to not knowing what bits of clothes need to be hand washed... Mumma Suz makes it look so easy! Then some security idiot decided it was time to LOCK THE DOOR at 10pm and I was horrified at the thought of all my clothes being left where anyone could steal them, so we kicked up a fuss and I think he hates us now, but its ok because all my clothes are safe. And clean. And not dyed pink! We have totally got the hang of cooking though, Tuesday saw an AMAZING tomato/sausage/cheese/pasta bake that was one of those meals I just didn't want to finish then on Thursday we ate possibly the best thing ever to be eaten. A fish finger and potato waffle sandwich. With lots of ketchup. Delish.

London came to a standstill this week when the tubes went on strike! Everyone was stressing out, then there was me, laughing inside, because my placement is just a 25 minute walk away. Fabulous! It did mean I had to get a bus to Canary Wharf for my Topshop shift this week, but it came with some lovely views so I didn't mind. I loved my afternoon in Topshop again, it is such a nice store and a good mid week placement break.

THEN IT WAS FRIDAY. I never really understood the whole 'friday feeling' when I stayed in Aberdeen, because to be honest, I was only in uni 3 days a week and maybe another 2 days I had a little Topshop shift so it was never really that much, but now we're all working 5 days a week, we are literally living for the weekend! I met my roomies in town after work on Friday and we headed to Shake Shack in Covent Garden for a feast. And oh my god it was AMAZING. Their cheesy fries and their vanilla milkshake are the best things I have EVER tasted. Defs my new obsession! It was a cute little flatmate night, and we didn't want to head back to the flat early but we decided to be good and stay in this weekend so we had a little walk around London. Basically we walked from Covent Garden up to Leister Square...and when we arrived all I could smell was chocolate...aka M&M world. Aka heaven. Then we couldn't resist a cheeky frozen strawberry daiquiri from Planet Hollywood. Yum.

On Saturday we explored Notting Hill! I was on a personal mission to find the travel book shop and the blue door from the movie, then was gutted to find out they've painted the door white because too many people went to see it, not cool. But we walked all down Portobello Road market and it was all so pretty and nice and everyone was SO COOL. Then we saw a Humminbird bakery and got some amaze cupcakes, mine was a red velvet and it was the best thing ever! We made a quick trip to Primark en route back to the flat, and I got a onesie and spent the rest of the night in it, stalking my fave bloggers and youtubers, trying to get over this horrible cold.

My 4th Sunday in London and we finally made it to Camden market! I have never been before so it was cool to see! Now we are back at the flat all cosied up in our onesies and about to watch the 1D movie. You wouldn't think we were 20.

Ailish x

So I'm still loving London! Everything is so cool and different than at home. Although I had a mini disaster at the start of the week when water got spilled on my MacBook! Luckily a genius at apple saved it, so I'm able to keep blogging!

Cute view of the Shard from our accommodation!

Week 2 at Felicities done, and I've been to even more magazine head offices, they are amazing! It is pretty cool seeing where my favourite magazines are all made. Placement was super busy this week with fashion week preparations, calling lots of different magazines and websites to try and get clients featured, and dealing with loads of cool stylists borrowing clothes from our designers for super cool shoots and projects! Working every day is busy/crazy/intense. I was sooo happy to have the morning off on Wednesday to chill out before my first shift at Topshop in Canary Wharf. I was so nervous about starting but I LOVED it. Everyone was so so lovely and the store is teeny tiny and so cute compared to Bon Accord, and everything was just the same jobs as I'm used to, so it's exciting to have that to restore some normality!

Regent street still looking lovely even the pouring rain..

We swapped rooms at our accommodation in prep for our roomies Michelle and Kirsty who arrived on Wednesday night and it's so much better. I mean for a start we have bunk beds. BUNK BEDS! I have literally always always always wanted bunk beds so you can imagine my excitement. Then on Friday two of my friends from Aberdeen came down to stay for the weekend, so we spent that night at the Ice Bar. Chilly. But so much fun! Literally everything was made from ice, even the cups which we had amazing cocktails in.. Loved it!

Loving life in the ice bar.. Sorry but it is literally all made of ice, mind blown. Then on Saturday after a day of shopping till we were almost dropping at Westfield in Stratford and spending lots of vouchers, it was FINALLY time to go to the O2 to see Taylor Swift. OH MY GOD. I have no words, she was literally amazing. Her British BFF Ed Sheeran made a surprise wee appearance and it was the best thing ever! Fangirling to the MAX. Do it all over again please. We all headed out in Shoreditch after the concert and it was literally the funniest night. I don't entirely know what happened but I had so much fun and came home with all my belongings and like 100 photos, so all in all it was a successful night.

Weeeee so much excitement.

Even more excitement.

R E D

OH HEY TAY! Not even zoomed in. Love life. We are practically besties now.

Basically I was already having the best night.... Then we went home and put on some  newly purchased dancing shooooooes....

Reppin my brand, head to toe Topshop

Poses with my roomies

Roomies roomies aka fab four

Sunday was spent exploring LDN once again, I will never get bored of all the pretty sights.  I still feel like I'm just a wee tourist here for a weekend, but no I actually LIVE IN LONDON. Crazy.

Covent garden aka 1 of my favourite places in London

Took my beloved Mulberry out for a trip. And the Zara scarf I have literally LIVED in for months.

Just your standard tourist shots hahah.

This week has been insane and so so SO MUCH FUN (I know I've said that so much but literally...I'm having the best time) It's Monday again already so no time to stop, cause a dolla makes me holla. OH WAIT. #internproblems
